Ergotron today announced that it has been named an International CES Innovations 2014 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree for the WorkFit-A, for Apple, a sit-stand computer workstation. Products entered in the program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade media to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products across 29 product categories.
As more individuals and companies realize the health, comfort and productivity implications of sitting for extended hours, the demand for standing workstations has increased enormously. Now, Apple® users have a sit-stand solution specifically designed to work with iMac® computers.
The WorkFit-A for Apple mounts the latest iMac® computer on an adjustable arm that clamps to the back edge of an existing desk up to 31.5 inches (800 mm) deep; a grommet hole-mount base option is also included. It has fluid, one-touch motion with patented Constant Force technology, sit-stand height adjustment and a separate keyboard tray with tilt.
“We created these new WorkFit for Apple models to offer a stylish and healthy workstation for the Apple users of the world,” said Pete Segar, President of Nortek Display Mount Solutions Group, Ergotron and OmniMount. The design perfectly complements the clean Mac style, looking great both at work and at home.”
The Innovations Design and Engineering Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, the producer of the International CES, the global gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technology. The organization has been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976.
The Ergotron WorkFit-A for Apple will be displayed in The Venetian and at OmniMount booth #26115 at the 2014 International CES, which runs January 7-10, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
