The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) bestows the Innovations Design & Engineering Awards annually across a series of consumer electronic product categories. A panel of respected journalists, designers and engineers judge thousands of entries on industrial design, aesthetics, quality and usability. These highly coveted awards are seen as an industry hallmark, and since 1976 have given manufacturers the opportunity to showcase their newest products and designs to independent designers, engineers and members of the trade press.

Proper engineering is essential to any successful product in the custom installation business, but what turns heads is a beautifully crafted product that, if pulled out of it's element, could almost be a work of art. The Resi Awards, sponsored by Residential Systems magazine, looks to honor these types of products at CEDIA every year.

Custom Retailer's Exc!te Awards recognize products for their outstanding design, engineering, innovation and market presence. The awards are determined by the overall custom electronics community, including custom retailers, installers and integrators, in addition to the Custom Retailer staff.

The CEDIA Manufacturers' Excellence Award is a competition designed to recognize outstanding excellence in the latest technology by honoring products as "best new products" in the categories. Hundreds of exhibitors submit their new products for review and hope to be named a winner, determined by a diverse panel of CEDIA residential electronic systems contractor judges.
